World Record Set at San Francisco Marathon

The world’s first sub two hour (1 hour 56 minutes 17 seconds) marathon was run and ended in a photo finish. The finish was so crowded that it was impossible to find the one who finished first. A large group all crossed within a blink of an eye. Those in the group included The Don of the University of San Francisco, SeeMore the Bee from bVisual.com, Oski from University of California – Berkeley, Happy from Carl’s Jr., Scorch from the San Francisco Dragons and Mattress Man from Sleep Number.

Don was later disqualified for having performance enhancing shoes. SeeMore the Bee and Scorch the Dragon were disqualified for illegal use of their wings and the other mascots were disqualified for not being homo-sapiens. There is the possibility of an appeal by the Mattress Man since a mattress is an inanimate object and not specifically exempt by the rules.

The Mascot Race was part of the variety of family friendly entertainment and events that were held in conjunction with the San Francisco Marathon.

bVisual Group would like to extend their congratulations to all those that participated in the San Francisco Marathon and to the staff and volunteers that made this a great event and an unqualified success.
